Tuition For The 2011-12 Season
Tuition of $325.00 per chorister, plus $90 for the choir uniform, is expected before the season commences and no later than the fourth choir practice, covering the term from September 2011 to June 2012. Budget payment terms can be arranged as needed. Acceptance in the choir is contingent upon payment of these fees. All forms, including the volunteer section of the registration form, must be completed in full by the first rehearsal.
A sibling discount in the amount of $25 is offered to families with two or more children in the choir. The fee for the first child is $325; the second and any additional child’s tuition is $300 with the sibling discount applied.
While we encourage families to pay the full amount of tuition at the time of registration, payment for tuition (or partial tuition, if assistance is needed) and the uniform fee may be scheduled over a maximum of 6 months, and may be paid via post-dated cheques. Payments are to be received no later than the 15th of each month, starting September 2011. MFYC is happy to work with you on a payment plan that works for your family’s budget.
A limited number of Tuition Assistance Scholarships are available for those choristers who, due to financial constraints, would not otherwise be able to participate in the choir. Please request the Tuition Assistance Application if you require Tuition Assistance. The funds for Tuition Assistance are made available through private donations and grants from funding agencies. The amount of Tuition Assistance we are able to provide varies from year to year, and is based upon the amount of funds available to us. Therefore, some requests may not be granted, or may not be granted for the full amount requested. Your information is collected to ensure that our limited resources are allocated as fairly and justly as possible. The information provided will be treated as strictly confidential. Tuition Assistance Scholarships do not require repayment.
Tuition fees cover only part of the cost of the music program the MFYC offers to young people. You can actively ensure the success of our choir by volunteering your time with fundraising, advertising, at performances or on choir tours and retreats. Grandparents and close family members of the choristers can be of significant help. Often they have more time available and love the opportunity to be closer to the children and assist with MFYC activities. Volunteer options are included in registration package for your consideration.
